I am often wowed, awed, stunned and fall in love with the creative ventures of young adults.  When they lean in and dare to dream out loud the results are astonishing.  I am blessed to work with young adults who have chosen to marry a gap year with college credit through LEAPYEAR, an alternative path of education that attends to integrating body, heart, mind and spirit – moving the disparate parts of being a human being towards wholeness.  Each of our students, in their own unique way, came to a threshold, a place of hearing a call, of wanting to walk to the rhythm of their own heartbeat, the sound of their soul’s call and so signed up for a year of adventure and soul initiation.  We are arriving at the end of a cycle and 23 students will be coming home after a three month solo internship.  Below is a video of one of our returning students, Mikaela Arden Rose, performing a song she wrote towards the end of her internship where she was teaching children how to play the guitar and finding her own voice.  May we all find our voices in strength, in beauty and in love.
