June 21, 2025; 11-5
Seedpods Living Arts Center
11640 hwy. 128 Calistoga, CA
Come for the whole festival and enjoy the many offerings throughout the day. Walk on the land, enjoying Cassie’s artwork along the way. Visit the studio to see Michael Eller’s glorious photograhs of Sonoma County taken from ten years of bicycling through the seasons. Bring your family. Bring a picnic or enjoy CallaLily Catering’s offerings of locally sourced, organic food. Take a moving yoga class at 11 with Cassie; a moving meditation on the four elements with Susan Aposhyan will be at 2. Join Chris Steinruck as he creates a woodcut print at 3 and end your day with Cassie, moving and celebrating the whole human being as a living art form.
There will be bulbs to plant, a self-guided water ritual down by the river, a peace pole to paint, songs to be sung and stories to be shared as we wake up this land again for a purpose
SeedPods Living Arts Center is a beautiful 11-acre center that resides alongside the running waters of Maacama Creek where salmon still swim, egrets and Blue herons continue to use as a river highway and during hot days, its cool waters offer comfort with a bracing dunk. I have been the active steward of this land for 22 years. It was once the home of the Coastal Miwok and Puma First Nation Tribes where, the stories say, this was the best watering hole to gather between here and there. It has been a place where people have gathered for sacred work, for play, for rest for a very long time. It has been a camp, a school, an education center, and a retreat center for the last 65 years. After the Kincade Fire in 2019 burned the LEAPNOW retreat center and school to the ground, SeedPods: A Living arts Center was born. This current iteration of the land has been five years in the dreaming, planning, manifesting stage. May it serve you. May it serve the community. And may it be a place to gather in peace, in joy, in love. May it be a place to celebrate the whole human being as a living art form!
