Michael has been a photographer throughout his adventurous life. A camera was often in his hands throughout the four decades he worked as a professional wilderness guide, as a ceremonial leader with many groups around the world  and as an avid bicycle tourist. His play with light and the balance of shape and color in his photographs bring a living sense to all his photos. He is currently completing two photographic books on a ranching family in the Eastern Sierra and the second, a documentation of the landscapes, culture and street arts of West Sonoma County as seen from a bicycle. This art exhibit will feature his photography of West Sonoma County through all the changes of winter, spring, fall and summer. There will be original photographs for sale as well as prints
