SeedPods Living Arts Center

SeedPods Living Arts Center is a retreat center dedicated to holding, witnessing and moving with the courage it takes for a seed to break open and take root. It is a place for gathering, for dreaming, for dancing, for making art, for sharing nourishing food, for touching that which makes us whole.

SeedPods Living Arts Center began as a dream forty five years ago. Cassie, the founder of the center, was choreographing and producing her first dance concert when, witnessing the brilliance of some of her collaborators, she understood that for many reasons some of her dancers and choreographers would never be highlighted, would be discriminated against, because of their size, shape, social awkwardness or inability to bow low enough to the over culture. There was one piece in particular titled ‘Kites” that was one of the most lyrical and beautiful dances Cassie had ever witnessed. As she watched it she wondered if maybe, someday, she could create a space where anyone could find the magic of their creative voice. The seed for SeedPods was formed. As the seed lay dormant, Cassie was not idle. In the last 45 years, Cassie was part of creating her own dance company, worked in psychiatric hospitals as a dance movement therapist, directed the Somatic Psychology Department at Naropa University and ran her own school for 20 years. In 2019 the Kincade Fire burned her school down and like many seeds that need fire to break them open, so it was true for this seed. The fire was needed to break it open so that it could germinate and form into SeedPods Living Arts Center. A creative arts center for the living art of being whole human beings! Home of Cassielle Brandyfoot, artist and teacher in residence; Calli Rose Brandyfoot, founder of CallaLily Catering and massage and open to all as a place to gather and hear each others voices and dream into what is truly possible for the whole human being.
