Good morning from Fiesole!

It is cold here this morning and I am missing the sea!!!! Took a walk yesterday through the high winding streets of this town and came to a part of the road whose view was as expansive as the sea! It was early morning and spread out beneath was all of Florence – I could see the Duomo! The sun was just rising and the clouds were touched with pinks and oranges! I didnt have my camera so words will have to do, capturing a moment in time! I then walked through the town stopping to buy lemons and artichokes and then to a patisserie where I succumbed and brought home an almond cake, a cream filled piece of   Cake covered with fresh fruit and…a ‘cookie’ – it was a shortbread cookie with a mound of marzipan on top, rolled in pistachios and topped with a dollop of raspberries jam! Yum!!!!!!!!
